Today we made an earlyish start and returned to visit the botanical gardens at Puerto de la Cruz that we found on an earlier trip. Dating back to the mid 1700's the gardens house some amazing specimens a few of which are shown here. Having shot up the motorway to Puerto Cruz we continued the journey back to our resort at Fanabe anticlockwise arriving back in time to see the last two and a half sets of Rafa's match with Lukas Rosol - phew he won of course! We fly back tomorrow morning French Air Traffic Controllers permitting!
Today we went on a Whales and Dolphins boat trip to the cliffs at Los Gigantes and Masca. Lots of Whales easy to film some Dolphins too quick to capture! Nice boat - an Arabian Dhow ex Dubai - good food and drinks plus demonstrations of Sangria and a Brazilian Cocktail from scratch - very enjoyable day.
Today we went on a circular tour of the Island, starting at the mountain village of Masca followed by lunch on the north coast at Garachico. We made a quick stop at the Botanical Gardens at Peurto De La Cruz but decided not enough time to enter as we had to return to Costa Adeje to change to our new resort. Following the motorway we skirted Santa Cruz before completing the tour down the east coast past the Airport to Los Cristianos and Adeje.
Puerto Colon is where we are staying this week. We move on tomorrow to the Sunset Harbour Club for our second week at Costa Adeje less than a quarter of a mile away.
