8th February 2014

First job today was to get Steve a new pair of glasses as his had snapped (we think due to the heat).  Just a cheap pair of readers but to cure his blindness until we get back to the UK. Then we booked up a trip for Sunday that gave us another chance to ride an elephant and also included some canoeing which we thought would be fun. We had planned to go to Railay Beach today but got a bit too much sun yesterday so decided to go to Krabi Town instead. The Night Market was on later so we went early to do a bit of sightseeing and have a look around first.  On the way there in one of the pick up type taxis we met a guy from London who had lived in Thailand for 7 years and taught English in a private school. We met him again in the market and had a couple of beers while he told us his life history and a few interesting facts about living in Thailand.  There was a really good atmosphere at the market with music and some fabulous street food.  We had lots of different bits and pieces that filled us up yet cost less than £5 for us both.  I had a banana crepe to finish up with that only cost less than 50 pence yummy. We managed to get another pickup taxi back to Ao Nang at 10.30 but it had 16 crammed into the 10 spaces. Steve had to stand outside on a platform at the back hanging on for dear life!
